From experience to evolution

AMA Universal was established in 1955, manufacturing parts for dry cleaning machines.

Ten years later we started to design, to develop and to manufacture the most complete range of dry cleaning machines. A healthy home market base within Italy soon helped to establish a growing and significant export market and AMA became very soon a leading manufacturer in this industry. A large distribution network was created worldwide and that made it possible to sell about 25,000 machines till 2001.

Then AMA Universal, projected towards new cleaning systems and technologies for special applications, started in 1980 to manufacture machines for surfaces treatments.

At the beginning those machines were used used in metal and electronic parts treatment and then moved to automotive and aeronautic industries.

In all those industries, where quality of manufacturing and professionalism in customer care count, through its ability to satisfy a worldwide market, AMA grew into an internationally recognized first-quality supplier and today AMA Universal is the best selling brand. More than 2,000 happy customers use our machines today.

Our design, our quality of the machines and of the customer support are recognised to be second to none.

Today our mission is to approach the market in a professional way, as it should be in the third millennium. Looking for and offering partnership to distributors and customers, with products equipped with some recently developed original features, totally innovative for our industry, and professional advice on cleaning procedures and environmentally correct use of the equipment.

Our major priority remains research and development: we offer full testing and demonstration facilities to ensure that advances in technology are properly evaluated to give our customers the best possible results.
